Sometimes Angels

Inspiration: Sometimes angels arose from a wish for a friend. His mother had died a few years earlier and he was having a hard time getting back into life. The first line of the poem arose from somewhere deep within:

Sometimes angels have to remember to fly

Especially after we think parts of ourselves have died

Our wings get heavy

And fold in at an awkward bend…
